Blogathon or Bust Details
As I mentioned earlier, I will be participating in the 2007 Blogathon on July 28th to help break the cycle of homelessness and alleviate the underlying causes of poverty. During these 24 continuous hours, I will post 48 entries here on SoB. Here are the deets:
What exactly is the Blogathon?
At 9:00am EST on July 28th, bloggers from around the world will begin blogging for 24 continuous hours to raise money for their charity of choice. Last year, almost $100,000 was raised.
48 posts in one day? What are you going to write about?
Here on SoB, I plan on launching a ton of startups so what better way to utilize this opportunity than to explore all the ways to make money online by interviewing 43 24 successful entrepreneurs that have come before me? The remaining 5 posts will consist of an introduction and 4 general posts after every 6 hours.
Doesn’t Blogathon prohibit future-posting?
Yes it does and I don’t plan on doing it. Although the interviews will be conducted before July 28th, they will be compiled, written, and posted in real time over the 24 hour period.
Just to be sure, will there be a way to make sure you haven’t dozed off on us?
Of course there will! You’ll be able to watch every exciting moment of my blogging mayhem via ustream.tv for the entire 24 hours.
How can I make a pledge for your cause?
1. Click here to sign up at blogathon.org
2. Fill in your details and enter the amount you wish to pledge.
3. Tune in on July 28th to see all 43 ways you can be successful as an online entrepreneur.
4. After the event, you will receive an email from blogathon.org reminding to send in your donation.
5. Follow the directions in the email to complete your donation at www.projecthome.org.
What if I would rather support another cause?
That’s great! Check out the list of participants and their charities to find the right fit for you.
What if I don’t want to register at Blogathon.org?
If you’d rather not register at Blogathon.org please email me with how much you’d like to donate, and I can enter a proxy pledge on behalf of you.
Does Startup or Bust or blogathon.org ever receive any of my donation money?
No. The only money exchanged is directly between you and Project Home after the Blogathon has ended.
Are you still looking for entrepreneurs to interview?
Yes! If you are interested in being interviewed, fill out my contact form with a brief introduction and any sites/blogs you currently maintain.
If I haven’t answered all of your questions and/or you’re a blogger that would also like to participate, head on over to these FAQs to find out more. As always, feel free to contact me with any further questions.
And if you feel so inclined, help make a difference to break the cycle of homelessness and alleviate the underlying causes of poverty and donate now.

Hi there. I’m the program coordinator for IssueLab.com and I wanted to invite you to check out our online archive of nonprofit research for more data on the issue of homelessness.
A lot of our current content focuses on the midwest, but we’re always looking for more submissions from other areas, as well. And I thought you might find some interesting facts and figures to reflect on in your upcoming blogathon.
